Besides his high-quality laryngology practice, Professor Nouraei is a notable figure in laryngology and surgical peer-reviewed research. He has authored more than 100 publications throughout his career and has co-edited two reference textbooks for clinicians and students as well. Professor Nouraei is the Outcomes Evaluation Lead for the national GIRFT programme and is also a member of the European Laryngological Society’s Committee on Laryngotracheal Stenosis.

Mr Jean-Pierre Jeannon is a distinguished consultant ENT (ear, nose, throat) and head and neck surgeon based in London. He is internationally renowned as a leading expert in all aspects of head and neck surgery, including head and neck cancer, voice disorders, thyroid problems, acid reflux, dysphagia, and facial paralysis.

Mr Jeannon qualified from the University of Birmingham in 1991 before pursuing higher surgical training in Newcastle-upon-Tyne. During this period, he was a clinical research associate at the University of Newcastle and later went on to undertake an advanced clinical fellowship in head and neck surgery at the University of Toronto and the Princess Margaret Hospital in Canada.

Mr Jeannon is also an appointed fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and of the College’s Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery section. He is considered as a leading expert in his field and performed the first ever double robotic cancer surgery, removing lung and throat cancers simultaneously. He regularly advises on and receives referrals of patients with highly complex cases. For a number of years, Mr Jeannon held the position of clinical director of surgical oncology at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, where he continues to serve as a senior consultant ENT and head and neck surgeon.

Mr Jeannon has made significant contributions to the field, having published over 80 research papers, and regularly sharing his expertise with the global medical community as an invited speaker at key conferences. He remains actively involved in research and acts as principal investigation on various clinical trials in immunotherapy and translational research in head and neck cancer.

Mr Jeannon is an associate professor in head and neck surgery at King's College London. He additionally holds key positions with the Royal College of Surgeons of England, serving as a member of the Court of Examiners and as an examiner for the FRCS otolaryngology intercollegiate specialty examination.

Ms Beddow successfully completed an MBBS in 1994 at the London Hospital Medical College, and since then, has gone from strength to strength in her medical career. Today, she is considered to be one of the top trainers in the UK in thoracic surgery and even collaborated as co-author in the Oxford Handbook of Cardiothoracic Surgery, published by the Oxford University Press. Professor Kavin Andi is an award-winning consultant oral and maxillofacial surgeon and head and neck surgeon based in London who specialises in head and neck cancer.

Once his dual qualifications in medicine and dentistry had been completed at Bart’s and The London Schools of Medicine and Dentistry, Professor Andi undertook his basic surgical training in Essex. He then went back to the London Deanery Higher Surgical Training Programme in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery at The Royal London Hospital, St Bartholomew’s Hospital, Luton and Dunstable Hospital, University College London and Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital.

He was ranked first among the highest level maxillofacial, ENT, and plastic surgeons in the UK by the joint committee for Higher Surgical Training following the reception of his FRCS award. This allowed Professor Andi to successfully complete a highly competitive Advanced Head and Neck Interface Training Fellowship at Guy’s Hospital. He did this in conjunction with a Fellowship of The Higher Education Academy award.

Professor Andi’s areas of interest include augmented reality, robotic surgery, and 3D virtual surgical planning, for which he was award the prestigious Norman Rowe Clinical Prize by the British Association of Oral and Maxillo-Facial Surgeons (2012). Among his interests and research, Professor Andi has also been published and has written original software on a variety of platforms which were user-friendly tools to collect data on clinical and outcomes research.

Other awards Professor Andi has been the recipient of the J.N. Kidd award from the Institute of Reconstructive Sciences (2016), a Clinical Excellence Award from St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (2015), the Annual College Prize in Clinical Dentistry awarded by the University of London (1997), and many more in between.

Carrying out pioneering research at St George's, University of London Medical School and Cranfield University Centre for Digital Engineering, Professor Andi was appointed as a Visiting Professor in 2020. 

Professor Andi has held former roles as lead clinician of the St George’s and Royal Marsden Head & Neck Cancer MDT, regional professional advisor to the Royal College of Surgeons of England and President of The Institute of Reconstructive Sciences.

Professor Helen Brough is a consultant in paediatric allergy and clinical immunology and was the head of service at the Evelina London Children’s Hospital, Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Hospital between 2015 and 2023 where she led the largest Children’s Allergy Service in the UK.

She has specific interests in food allergy prevention, diagnosis and treatment, immunotherapy, asthma, eosinophilic gastrointestinal disorders and eczema. She jointly runs the joint asthma and allergy service at the Evelina London.

She co-authored two landmark studies on the prevention of food allergy, is the lead investigator for the Pronuts study (assessing peanut, sesame and tree nut allergy) and is an investigator for the oral and patch peanut desensitisation trials at the Evelina London.

She is the President of the Royal Society of Medicine Allergy and Immunology and was the chair of the Paediatric Section for the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (EAACI) between 2022 to 2024. She organised the Annual National Allergy Meeting for the British Society of Allergy and Clinical Immunology from 2013 to 2016 and the European Allergy (EAACI) Congress in 2020. She was awarded the 2020 Distinguished Clinician Award by the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, the Barry Kay award for excellence in Paediatric Allergy research from the British Society for Allergy and Clinical Immunology in 2013, and ‘Health Professional of the Year’ runner-up in 2010 by Coeliac UK.

She is also certified by the European Academy of Allergology and Clinical Immunology (EAACI) as a European Paediatric Allergist. She has also completed an MSc in Allergy, gaining a distinction at the University of Southampton and was subsequently awarded a PhD in determining routes of developing peanut allergy, at King’s College London University. Clinical studies and publications: Professor Brough co-authored two landmark studies on the prevention of food allergy, and is the lead investigator for the Pronuts study (assessing peanut, sesame and tree nut allergy), and an investigator for the oral and patch peanut desensitisation trials, which are currently running at the Evelina London.

She has published multiple original research articles as well as published a textbook, Rapid Paediatrics. Professor Brough regularly presents her research; both nationally and internationally and is an honorary senior lecturer at King’s College London. She has written reviews on the active management and prevention of food allergies, dietary management of peanut allergy and risks of exposure to food in the environment in allergic patients, and is also at the forefront of research on desensitisation to nuts.
